Alan, Shelley & Ella

This blog is comming to you from a small town outside of Sacramento which would point to the fact that we are in California. We have been visiting the in-laws for the past week helping out with fixing the house in preparation for a move that will occur sometime next year. Yesterday became eventful while visiting the Point Reyes National Seashore. We were checking out these Tule Elk that the park brought back from near extinction (the area happens to be the most remote portion of the park). As we went to leave, the car would not start and is basically dead, but the battery still seemed to work fine. We tried a jump with no luck and phoned USAA to send out a tow truck. To make a really long story short, I had to ride with this wierd tow truck driver for about 45 minutes, and then Shelley's brother Ryan called a friend of his whose parents are out of town and we slept at their house in Sacramento. I am now writing from the computer of a family I have never met before in my life and probably won't meet unless Ryan decides to make them in-laws - they have a daughter :) Anyhow, we are planning on going home on wednesday and hopefully the internet will be taken care of and I can get back into the habbits again. I would love to post a few pictures but the batteries in the camera were dead and since I am using AOL dial up - searching for pictues on the web just isn't that much fun.

Wow, crazy story. So, you do have pictures?
So, if you are using some stranger's dial-up AOL--does he have to pay by the minute and if so, how long were you on it and did you leave him some money? Just wondering how all that worked out. Anyway, yes pictures would be nice. I totally concur.
I started the post at the strangers house who actually had DSL, I was searching the internet to find a picture that I could post in the blog when the brother who was still in town stopped by. At that point, I hit save draft and quickly logged out of the computer. I finished the post today on my in-laws computer who do have AOL and I don't think they pay by the minute.
Thanks for clearing that up. Whew!
Nice, you might as well leave them a few bucks. You can afford it now with your assistantship. I still can't believe that!
Bob? Have you seen Bob? Bob, where are you?
