Our car was hit last night while parked in front of Darren and Julies house. It happened at about midnight, Darren and the neighbors heard the crash but noone got a look at the car. Here are a few pictures illustrating the extent of the damage. The last picture shows the skid marks giving you an idea of how far the car was pushed. They left no issurance information and the police officer said the chances of finding the person are slim. We are fully covered on the car so all we have to pay is the deductible; I am sure our rates will increase, but hopefully not too much.

I'm glad you guys weren't in it when it happened! Sorry to see your car crunched! No fun!
As a follow up, the car was not totaled which surprised the guy at the body shop. There was substantial damage done to the frame and the total cost of repair will be 4200 of which we pay 500. The car is still worth 6700 so it is worth fixing according USAA (repair cost has to be less than 65% of the cars value). We are just a little worried about how much our rates will change. The fact that we were not even in the car should help out.
