Last weekend (before my parents came into town) Shelley and I went camping with a few friends from church. We definitely froze as the temperatures quickly dropped once the sun disappeared. On Saturday we checked out Timpanogos Cave national monument and took the tour through the cave. The hardest part of our journey was the climb to the cave entrance; the hike is only a mile and a half although you will climb over 1100 feet before reaching the entrance.
Here we are with John and Jenny on the trail up.
They call this the jaws - hence Shelley's clinched teeth.
A tight spot in the cave - I had some fun with this one. There were several other close calls, but I managed to walk out with no large bumps forming on my head - thank heavens.
And your typical deposit flows seen in most caves.
We had a lot fun on our walk through the caves and may go back for another tour they give requiring you to crawl and wear helmets with lights.

I LOVE that Timpanogos hike!! Awesome!
Great cave. The typical cave deposits are called stalactites. Sorry, I couldn't resist the geology nerd coming out.
