37 1/2 Weeks

So here I am at 37 1/2 weeks. It's really sad that I am not one of those terrific Mom's that take a picture of herself every week. I really wanted to but it just never happened. I can say that I feel pretty ready for this baby to come. I had an ultrasound at 35 weeks and everything looked well. They estimated at the time that our baby girl was weighing 5 lbs. 15 oz. She has hair on her head, which I am so excited about, and her precious little foot was against her cheek because she is so curled up in my tummy.

I have a funny story. The other day I went to Costco with my friend Lechelle and we went around getting all of their free food samples. Delicious! One of the ladies that was serving the food samples asked when I was due. I replied in 3 weeks. She then said, "You look like you should have been due yesterday." I didn't know if that was a compliment or an insult...but I said thank you and moved on. The next day I went to Price Chopper (grocery store) and some lady stopped me, got really close to my face and asked, "when are you due." I replied "3 weeks." She then said, "You are as skinny as a twig and all bump, good luck with that." I am still not sure if that was a compliment or insult. When I was at Costco I was wearing a pink shirt that I think made me look huge, and at Price Chopper I was wearing a navy blue shirt, which made me look small. It's funny to me when your pregnant what people think of you and depending on the color your wearing you really can look like a blimp or be as skinny as a twig.
