Computer Mishaps
I know that life is not meant to be a walk in the park, but hey we can dream right. So, I have been working on this computer problem I talked about previously and I solved the initial problem with a new power supply. The computer booted up fine which made me very exited. I then turned the computer back off in an attempt to put everything back together since my computer was in a mess on the floor when I booted it up. I went to stick the power supply into the case and thats when I realized that it is like twice the bulkiness of the power supply that was there before. I have ordered a case from my buddies on newegg that will hopefully be here on friday and then I will be able to put everything back in its place. I also bought a printer over the weekend which I installed on saturday, but did not get much chance to use before we left for provo (by the way we did manage to secure a basement apartment in provo on tuesday). Yesterday I was working to clean a few things off the desktop computer that I do not use and when I went to restart it ran a disk check which took around 3 hours (9-12) in order to complete. When I came home from the 24 crowd I had expected it to be finished but it was still going and appeared to have found unreadable files that it supposedly removed. I thought for sure the computer crashed, but fortunately it came back to life with the files still there and still usable. I am still struggling a little with the computer, but I am hoping to work it out over the next few days.

You know, you can get a brand new Dell labtop right now for about $300-$400. Maybe you should just get a new one:)
I am trying to work on a new desktop for my birthday (like three weeks away) with hopes of getting one that has a dual core processor. If there was a person it was made for it is definately me, I always have 3 or 4 things open at once with two of those being firefox and itunes - both using a fair share of processing power.
Nice, I wouldn't be able to live without my desktop. I guess when you said case I had laptop on the brain.
It’s very pretty though:)
So, did you hear about the storms in St. Louis? Do your parents have electricity? I was surprised to hear that my parents have it; they are usually the first ones to go. I guess Grandma and Paul are staying with my parents. I bet they are having a good time…..not!
You probably thought laptop since I said that I was blogging from the laptop but yeah I didn't really specify did I- sorry. I did hear about the storms in St. Louis, just barely got off the phone with my Mom as a matter of fact. She said the power came back on friday morning at 3:00 AM (I assume they know because the light switches were in the on position :). I did hear that your parents had power, allowing us to see who the faithful are - only kidding. Apparently another storm rolled through last night knocking out the power for only a half an hour to our house but causing a great deal of havoc in north county sending the number of people without power back up near half a million. My parents were at a high priest social at church and I guess those living on the oakville side of the ward were still without power. She also said that there was speculation of a tornado near JB. Crazy weather!
