World Cup Thoughts

I was stunned on Sunday as I watched Zidane head butt an opponent for which he was red carded. I felt that the outcome of the game was less exciting because of the shock of his actions. The refs were pretty good in trying to let the players decide the outcome. Thankfully the referee did not award a second penalty kick for france which would have definately determined the outcome of the game. A job well done goes out to the refs assistants for catching the misconduct by Zidane and then informing the head ref of the head butt. Great game, should have ended in more excitement instead of disappointment.
